How to display a lovely icon in your explorer .

Hello !

It is quite a detail, a trifle, but I think it is better to put a lovely picture as your USB key icon.
The idea is to put a text file and an icon in your USB Flash Drive.

How ?

Step 1 :Put your icon-file in your USB key
You may find one everywhere on the Internet (here is the Google page  ici)
If you want to edit it, here is the link to a free software which works very well : icoFX. Click here to see its data sheet or here to download it directly. You may also use SimplyIcon so as to make an icon from an image of your choice. Rename your icon under the name iconecleusb.ico for instance. The most important is that it is the same name as in the texte (see after).
Step 2 : make the text file
Windows must display the file extensions.
Double-click on WorkStation.
Then, click on Tools and then on Folders options.
Click on the Display tab and uncheck the box Hide the file extensions which type is known. Click on Apply and then on OK.
Then, you may create a text file named « autorun.txt » on your USB Flash Drive.

In this text file, you may mark this :
[autorun]
icon=.\iconecleusb.ico
(Of course, you may rename your icon as you want !)
Save your file and close it.
Then, click with the right button of your mouse and rename your file autorun.txt under the name autorun.inf
